Alison Oliver

Health Service Manager at Flinders Island Aboriginal Association Inc.

Alison and her husband Damian, first moved to the island in May 2010 and stayed for two years before heading back to Victoria. Fast forward five years and Damian and Alison have found themselves back on Flinders, calling it “take 2”.

Alison is a Registered Nurse, with a degree in Health Promotion and has been fortunate to work both around Australia and in the United Kingdom. Her passion has always been providing holistic person centred health care. 

Alison has a keen interest in preventative health and clinical governance. Alison is loving being a part of the project and hopes to be a part of a team making sustainable changes to improve health outcomes for her community.

Fiona Turley

Community Health Nurse - Flinders Island

Fiona has been living on Flinders Island for the past 10 years with her husband Greg, where they both work as nurses at the Flinders Island Multi Purpose Centre. 

Fiona has a background in Mental Health Nursing, and is now happily practicing as a Community Health Nurse, with a focus on chronic conditions and pain management. 

Fiona loves working and living within the Flinders Island community.
